Yes, they certainly can, since one of the qualifications for a deacon relates to the character of their wives. Some would go so far as to suggest it is a requirement that they be married, rather than a possibility.

∙ 12y agoNo, a married man can be ordained to any of the Holy Orders with proper permission, but every man ordained takes a vow of chastity. In other words, a married man ordained to the diaconate could not remarry if his wife died. So, no, a man already ordained as a deacon is no longer eligible to be married.

Married Catholic men may become deacons. However, unmarried men who become deacons must remain unmarried and married deacons must then become chaste.
