  • One should exercise on days other than the Shabbat.
  • Men and women should not exercise in a mixed venue, as it would compromise modesty.
  • It should be a part of one's life, not the main thing. Judaism doesn't believe in bodybuilding for its own sake or to extreme amounts.

Since Orthodox Jewish men and women stay separated, they'll either go to men's only and women's only gyms or they'll exercise on opposite rooms or opposite sides of the gym.
