WITH PARENTS CONSENT I BELIEVE THE LEGAL AGE IN MASSACHUSETTS IS 16............I WAS 16 WHEN I GOT MARRIED........BUT YOU WILL APPEAR IN FRONT OF A JUDGE
If you are 15 or older then you do not need your parents. Most states will will have you talk to a judge then he will marry you.
If a parent or guardian withholds consent, the judge upon application of a party to a proposed marriage shall determine if the consent has been unreasonably withheld. If the judge so finds, the judge shall proceed to review the application under paragraph
Yes. You need consent from parents or legal guardians and you also may have to contact the Probate Court. The judge may also require that the couple have had marriage counseling satisfactory to the court.
Most parents will consent to marriage if their daughter is pregnant. If this is not the case however you will have to wait until you have you baby. When you have your baby you are automatically emancipated and are considered an adult and then you can get married without consent. You are only medicly emancipated, your parents still have legal control over that. You would have to get a judge to overturn your parents desision which is hard to do.
No where unless they can get a judge to agree to it.
Depends on your age. If you are 16-17 you need consent of your parents or legal guardian. If you are pregnant and under 18 you can apply to a district court judge for permission to marry without parental consent. Under 16 years old, you must get approval to marry from the District Court. And if your parents or guardians are not residents of Kentucky you as a minor can not get married.
No you can not ask a judge to be with a minor sexually. Nor can the parents give permission. The minor have to have reached the age of consent, being emancipated or married in order to have sex legally. If this is regarding dating and not sex that is up to the parents. I seriously doubt any judge would go against that.
In TX if you're under 16 you need parental consent and court approval. Good luck convincing a judge that it's in the best interest of a 15-year-old child to get married. Translation--there's a very good chance the judge won't approve it.
no, your parents could try to give you consent but most likely it will be brought to court and a judge will have to order the consent. I have a friend that was 17 and his girlfriend was 18 their parents wouldn't consent and the judge made him wait till his 18th birth-day. In your case, if your parents don't press charges for statutory rape you may be able to get married. But since the federal law is 16 and most states are 18 as a legal consenting age you'd be lucky if the state doesn't file the charges against the father.
In CA, if either party is under 18, in addition to getting parental consent, the couple must also schedule an appointment with a counselor and then appear before a superior court judge.
In almost any state the 15 year old would have to have their parents written consent and a court order. Pregnant or not.AnswerOnly with the consent of her parent/guardian or the judge of juvenile court. If you ask a judge for consent based on pregnancy...well, do you really want to admit to a judge that you've broken the law? Under Minnesota law, 15 is below the age of sexual consent.
