The previous poster is wrong. Once a child is emancipated (and its rare that it happens) their parents are no longer responsible for them in any way. The parents WILL NOT be ordered to pay any 'support' for or to the child. In order to be emancipated a minor must prove to the court that they are capable of fully supporting themselves. And there are other requirements as well.
There are no laws about what age you have to be to date, so it is legal. There are laws about sexual activity and depending on the state, this is probably not an issue either. In most places you have to be at least 16 to consent, if not 17 or 18. And your parents cannot allow you to break the law.
{| |- | There are no laws about dating ages. In Missouri the legal age of sexual consent is 17, so there could be problems. It isn't a good idea, the difference in ages would indicate that the older one only has one thing in mind. |}
No, at 17 you are a minor and it is illegal for a 19 year old adult to date you. I'm leaving the previous sentence for comparison. There are no legal restrictions on age as it pertains to "dating". Age of consent refers to acts of intimacy, not to companionship. A 17 year old can legally keep company with a 19 year old, however, physical acts of a sexual nature are (age dependent on municipality) illegal.
No. Thats a BIG age difference for one thing secondly once you turn 18 its illegal to even date her.
Not legally, no.
You have to be 16 i belive
Yes, they can, but you don't have to submit to it. If you are still living in your parents' home, you should keep in mind they don't have to allow you to stay there if you are an adult.
If you leave home without your parents permission, then they can have you picked up and returned home.
A child can leave home WITH parents' consent at 16, or without it if they are leaving an abusive or neglectful situation. A child can leave home without parental consent at 17. This is the current legislation in the UK.
No, you cannot do that. I've been trying to do this for many years, however, at age 17 you can legally leave your house without police involvement.
They can get their parents' permission to leave home. Or be removed by child protective serves.
Yes, you can move out if you have their permission. Otherwise you have to wait until you turn 18.
No. At 15 you are a pregnant minor. Being pregnant does not make you an adult and you are still the responsiblity of your parents.
You can legally move out of your parents' home when you are no longer a minor. In Utah, that is 18.
seveteen years old, moved in with my boyfriend, his mom's house,am I breaking the law? can my mom make me move back home?I live in Missouri
Not without her parents giving legal custody to an acceptable caregiver adult. In most cases when a minor moves into a relative's home with the permission of his or her parents authorities will not intervene. Missouri does not have emancipation status.
no
When you are 18.
A child can legally move out of their parents home when they are of legal age. In most states, the legal age is 18.
You have to be 16 i belive

No, at the age of 18 you can move out of your parents home legally. There is nothing they can do.
