Check out the US Embassy in Londons website. It will answer this one. You can get one, but generally it has to be for a job that very few other people are qualified for. I hear it helps if you have a PHD in computer science :)

Can you return to live in UK as a US citizen with a UK citizen dependent under 16 you remarried a us man and emigrated last year then it went wrong and you want to come back to live here?

Your question is really really confusing! But to put it short, if you've got either an INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN" Permit OR British Citizenship (Not sure if you have US or UK or Both and yes you can have both)! Or if your spouse is a British Citizen and your a US citizen you may move to the UK with him/her. BUT if your a US citizen and your spouse was a British citizen and you want to move back to Britain, you cannot do that without her/him. Unless as i said you have acquired Citizenship or an INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN permit that hasn't been terminated by the Immigration Department.

How does immigrants become a UK Citizen?

A US citizen would have to apply for a visa and become resident. Alternatively they could marry a UK citizen. In addition a British Company could invite the US citizen to work in the UK and apply for a work visa on their behalf. There are quite a few ways to do it legally.
