Can a U.S. citizen get travelers insurance in New Zealand without having insurance in the US?
Really the only way I see it is to get someone to insure the car in their name. Put you on the paper work as the owner but, you will be excluded from being a driver because, you have no license unless you want to take that chance and drive anyway.
Can a 16 year old get insurance on his or her car without having to have a parent on the insurance too and without having to be on their parents car?
No. At 16, you're still considered a juvenile in the eyes of the law. As such, you can't enter into a legally binding contract, which is what an insurance policy would be in effect. Not to mention that a 16 year old would pay an outrageous amount of money for insurance, as that bracket is the high…est risk. You can, although most insurance companies will not. if they do you will be paying stupid amounts of money for 3rd party only . On my 16th birthday i got insured on my 1.3L VW polo on my own, my parents didnt even know. Though it did cost me £1459, for 3rd party only, rightly so as a crashed 3 days after passing my test haha. didnt beat my brothers record of 2 hours though. I personly don't think 16 year old males should be allowed on public roads =p ( Full Answer )
Could an insurance claim be denied if you state in the application that you are a citizen or resident of the U.S. when you are not?
Possibly. Depending on the conditions of your policy, the claim may be denied or only paid a rediculously small fraction such as 8-10% of the premium value. Any part of an application for life insurance that can be proven to be a lie can void the policy. Companies that I know of will refund premium…s paid, but will not honor the policy. Any intentional lie on an insurance form will void the policy if they find out. For every question on an application there are unique circumstances. If you have a claim that is being investigated or has been denied you should contact The Center for Life Insurance Disputes for a free consultation. ( Full Answer )

The total number is roughly 45 million claiming that they have none. When you deduct the number of people that are between jobs, so they lack coverage for only a brief time (voluntary as they could have COBRA coverage) or simply do not want to spend the money, you end up around 12 million. Of… the 12 million many (most) are illegals. Shipping them home would relieve this issue. The remaining individuals could get far better coverage and at a lower cost if the Government would just buy these people premium policies. The current plan, we are trying to get, allows control of our records, money (yes, there are provisions to link YOUR bank account) and rationing of care. There are also massive grants to pay ACORN and other political organizations to recruit insurers. The Government employees and unions will also be exempt. Massive bad idea. ( Full Answer )

Rather than a policy that covers listed illnesses I would look at some of the high deductible plans that are available now. There are a variety of types of policies available inclduing catastrophic major medical policies and high deductible plans especially if you are self employed. For the self emp…loyed there are many tax benefits available with some of these health plans. Some HSA plans allow you to put money into an account to pay for deductibles and coinsurances like many cafeteria plans except with these you can leave the money in the plan year after year building up additional retirement benefits without fear of loosing them if you don't use them by year end.
