The fact is that yes, you can. They are open door to anyone that would like to experience the Methodist church.

The Methodist church is welcoming to all types of people, and I can say without a doubt that you will be welcome there.

I grew up in the Methodist church, and my grandfather is a retired methodist minister of about 40 years.

Also, I have attended many weddings. If your soon to be husband is Methodist, tell him you would like to meet the Minister. All Methodist ministers I have ever met, are very warm and welcoming. I'm sure that a small meet such as this will make you feel SO much more comfortable.

Hope this helps! :-)

It depends, but the general answer is yes. Some churches will rent out their facility to anyone who wants to pay whatever the fee is (the Baptist church I used to go to charged $300, but that was a few years ago).

However, some churches will only allow members to use the facility, and some churches will only allow two Christians to marry. In general, the Baptist church has no rules about Baptists marrying non-Baptists, but most preachers will want to counsel with the couple to see if they both are Christians.

The decision whether any particular couple can be married in their building rests with the ruling elders (session) of each individual Presbyterian congregation. As a general practice, Presbyterians usually have no objections to persons of other faiths or no faith being married in a Presbyterian building.

The Methodist Church will allow it. They will meet with the clergy and discuss the ceremony.
