NO! Caffeine in any form is lethal to dogs (I'm not sure about cats). If dogs consume it, they can actually die, whether it's tea, coffee, or even chocolate. And if you mean by putting the tea on their coats, then no, it's not good for them that way, either. The tannin in tea has a drying effect and can dry out their coat and skin, causing a lot of problems for them.

∙ 14y agoit depends on the quantity that is consumed....... the caffeine in it can be toxic, but that depends on the dogs weight and size and again.... how much is consumed. Their heart rate increases, which can cause a fatal heart attack. If a dog consumes a food/drink with caffeine in it and you are worried, always call your vet.

∙ 16y agoNo. In fact, peppermint tea is great if your dog's tummy is upset. I would definitely not recommend allowing your dog to ingest caffienated tea, though.
