Can a girl turn into a boy when they are 12 years old?

A grown adult (with doctor's ok) can have surgery to make their genitals appear to be those of the opposite sex and can take hormone therapy and have facial surgery to allow them to look more like the opposite sex. Does this make them girls? There are many sides to the question and right now science can't define it for us: there's too many factors. In general, I believe the "stupid is as stupid does"; if she looks like a girl, acts like a girl, and smells like a girl, she's a girl. The past is the past, and what you were is not what you are or will be.

Our society says girls "are submissive, group oriented and in general not very violent." It also says boys "are dominant, loners and thrive on violence." Both are simplistic but if a person acts "female" and has parts like a female, then they are a girl. The mix comes when she "acts like a boy", it's tolerated but not generally accepted: She has female parts but acts like a boy. A similar thing happens with boys who "act like girls" - he has boy parts but "acts like a girl." Here society has a double-standard. Girls can be boy-like and be ok, but boys can't be girl-like and even tolerated much less accepted.

So how do you know what sex they are? If it is something they wish to share, then it is what they ask you to call them; otherwise what need to you have to know of someone elses 'parts?'

They are a girl if they tell you they are a girl.

Well, there is no spell to do it, nor is there a machine to do it. So surgery is your only option for now. But, while it can go horribly wrong, making you look like a cross dresser with boobs "glued on", it can also make you such a beautiful woman that nobody would ever expect you were a guy at one point.
