If you name a child after its grandfather and the child and grandfather have the same surname and middle name (if any), then the child can be called "the second."However if someone in your generation (a brother or cousin) is also named after the grandfather and has the same middle and surname, that person is "the second" and your child would be "the third."
There is no proper term for this particular familial place. I would suggest just his name or your step-father's grandson.
I found out on my own: when a grandson is born & is given the same name as his father who is ' Jr. ' & his grandfather is ' Sr. ', the baby becomes the ' III ' , the father becomes the ' II ' & the grandfather becomes the ' I ' . While the above may hold true is some cases, it is perfectly normal for the grandfather and father to maintain their "Sr/Jr" titles and for the son to be given the III title. My grandfather was Michael Sr. My father was Michael Jr. and my little brother was Michael III.
Eric The Red's father's name was Thorvald.
You have no socially named relationship to your step-great-grandson-in-law's father. If you like, you might call him "son" or "Mr. ...." or simply call him by his first name.
There very well may be. The name "grandfather clock" comes from people saying, "that clock belonged to my grandfather." Thus, if you have a grandson, and he has a clock, it may be referred to as a "grandson clock."
In fact in Arabic there is no such "Middle name" the names are a combination of : First name + Father's name + Grandfather's name + Last name and it can be longer by adding great grandfather's name, great great grandfather's name, and ETC..... So if your name is Ralph and your father's name is Henry and your grandfather's name is Michael and your family's name (LAST NAME) is McCartney, your name would be : Ralph Henry Michael McCartney...
He would be the III because he is the third in the blood line with the name. If you look at the history of European kings, this often happened.
He is named after his great grandfather (Katherine's father).
He would be the third. So lets say their name was Joe Shmoe and the great grandfathers name was Bob Shmoe. It would look like thisJoe ShmoeJoe Shmoe IIBob ShmoeJoe Shmoe IIIHe would be the third because he is the third Shmoe with the first name Joe.Hope this helps.A. was an eligible voter.
