Yes. Blue eyes are a recessive genetic trait, which means that a brown- or green-eyed person can still carry a gene for blue eyes. In this case, the blue-eyed gene is recessive, or subordinate, to the green- or brown-eyed gene. To be blue-eyed, an individual must have a recessive blue-eyed gene from both its mother and father.

Yes, the probability is 50%, as explained below: Man has "gg" genes of green eyes. Mom has "BB" genes of Brown eyes or "Bg" (one brown gene and one green gene, but the eyes are brown because the Brown eyes gene is dominant). Man gg Woman Bg Kids genes can come out to be with 50% probability "Bg" (Brown eyes) with 50% probability "gg" (Green eyes)

If a brown eyed man marries a brown eyed woman can they have a green eyed child?

Yes. There are at least five genes that contribute to eye color. It is quite possible for both parents to have brown eyes (which are dominant) and yet carry other genes that can produce a green-eyed child.

Is green eyes a brown eyed gene?

No

Can 2 hazeled eyed parents have a child with brown eyes?

Yes. Hazel eyes are often brown eyes with green coloring in them.

Which is more rare green eyes or amber eyes?

Green eyes are more rare than blue eyes. Brown eyes are the dominant characteristic, so they're not rare at all. Green eyes are rare, because it tends to occur when a brown-eyed/green-eyed couple have a baby. Most of the time, that baby will have brown eyes (since brown eyes are dominant). However, sometimes, the baby can have green eyes.

Can two green eyed parents have a green eyed child?

Two brown eyed parents can make a green eyed baby. Its all to do with genetics. It depends if both parents have a heterozygous gene for brown eye colour it is possible. Lets use Br for brown and G for green. A Homozygous brown gene would hypothetically look like this Br/Br A heterozygous brown gene would hypothetically look like this Br/G Homozygous basically means that there are 2 of the same genes coupled together (hence Br/Br) Heterozygous means 2 different genes that are coupled together (hence Br/G) If both parents have a homozygous gene for brown eye colour, their baby would have a 100% chance of having a brown eye colour. If both parents have a heterozygous gene for brown eye colour then there is a 25% chance that the baby will have green eyes and a 75% chance that the baby will have brown eyes. If one parent has a heterozygous brown gene and one has a homozygous brown gene then the baby will have a 100% chance of having brown eyes. There is also such as thing as "Designer Babies" where they fertilize an egg outside of the womb and genetically alter the DNA, so that you can change the hair colour eye colour etc.

If a brown eyed woman has a green eyed mother what is the brown eyed woman's genotype?

The mother's genotype is rr. The daughter would inherit one recessive allele from her mother because her mother has only recessive alleles. Because the daughter is green eyed, she would inherit a dominant allele from her father. The brown-eyed daughter's genotype would be Rr.

Can a brown eyed woman and a green eyed man produce a green eyed child?

Can a blue eyed man and a brown eyed woman have a green eyed daughter?

Can a green eyed woman and a brown eyed man have a blue eyed boy?

you cannot have a blue eyed boy. unless there is someone in your family that has blue eyes. the brown and green would be either a recessive or dominent trait. traits don't mix together to create different things. like brown and green. brown and green don't even mix to make blue

Can a green eyed man and a blue eyed woman have a brown eyed kid?

It depends on the genes because some genes from the parents might not get passed on making the baby have brown eyes
