No. No one rabbit of any size can eat 500 carrots a day. PS- what rabbits REALLY like is not the carrot, but the green tops of the carrot plant.
once upon a time there was a rabbit named tom. he was a rabbit and rabbits eat carrots. im high, have a nice day brother
Rabbits do love carrots -- most do, anyway (rabbits are individuals, they don't all like the same things). Carrots are naturally high in sugar and they have a crunchy consistency -- both of which are usually appreciated by rabbits. Rabbit owners should be careful not to over-feed carrots or other treat foods because too much can make a rabbit sick. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons of fruit or sugary veg a day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit.
Pet rabbits need feeding once a day at least but twice a day is great.
Yes, but only give them a small amount. Carrots are high in sugars and starches and too much can make a rabbit ill. Carrot greens are great for rabbits and can be included in the rotation of "salad" greens, but the carrot itself should be limited as a treat. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons of treat food per day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit. See the related questions below for more info and helpful links.
It depends on the rabbit's size and personality if he/she will eat it slowly or fast. Carrots are high in sugars and starches and should be limited in a rabbit's diet as a treat food. Carrot greens are excellent and can be included in the rotation of daily "salad" greens, but carrot itself should be limited: The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons per day of treat food (including carrot) for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit. See the related questions below for more info and helpful links.
You will need to feed your rabbit once a day when you put it to bed. In the daytime it should be outside on the grass. You can just leave it plenty of food like dried food, cabbage leaves, carrots, and let it eat what it wants, when it wants.
yes make it eat 3 full size carrots a day they will harden up the gums and make them grow slower
Carrots are high in sugars and aren't very healthy for rabbits. Carrot greens are very healthy and you can safely include those as a regular part of your rabbit's daily "salad." The carrots themselves, though, should be limited as a treat food. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons per day of treat food for a healthy, normal 6 pound rabbit. Ideally, rotate the treats you serve, otherwise that would be pretty boring for your rabbit. Other treats include fruits and vegetables like berries, apple, and squash. Too many carrots can lead to illness in rabbits. See the related question below for more info about a healthy rabbit diet.
i have a 12.5 pound french lop eared rabbit. He eats about 1 1/3 cup of rabbit feed each night. And a little bit of parsley through the day. You can feed your rabbit a little over a cup every day at the same time, or feed him/her half in the morning and the remaining at night. BUT be sure to stay with the feeding routine. If you feed your rabbit all his/her food at the same time, remember what time you fed your rabbit and feed him/her that same time the next day.
A 3 month old rabbit should eat a lot. Fresh rabbit mix in a bowl everyday. Also Fresh Carrots, spinach, corn on the cob, silverbeet, apple, pear. Throw away left overs every day. Paula
Rabbits should hardly have any sugar in their diet. There are natural sugars in fruit and some vegetables (such as carrots) which should only be given in very limited amounts.
Ofcouse it would be. How would you like to be trapped inside a little cage day in and day out? :))
