Considering that the LENDER will be the one to report it as a "repo", wouldn't it be best the discuss it with the LENDER?

As cosigner on the loan you are equally responsible for for payment on the loan. If the lender has hired a repo company to take back the ATV for non payment, then the repo company is going to do everything possible to get it. That includes the frequent visits to your home in an effort to locate the ATV. If you want the repo man off your back, tell him where to find what he is looking for....or contact the lender and bring the loan payments current immediately.

It is done in time not money i.e. days late.Generally 30-45 days late triggers a repo but they can repo after one day late.

A 'Repo Man' is a person who gets paid by a company to repossess anything (usually cars, planes, automobiles, etc.) that hasn't been paid for in 3 months or more. The person can just take it back to the company, but he/she has to have the right papers so they can take it. Basically, if the person hasn't paid the rent (usually for cars and such) for a while, it gets repossessed.

They are probably like anywhere else. If you do not make payments, the lender has the right to take back the car or whatever it was that you bought. That is because you signed a contract and did not hold up your part of the deal.

User Avatar

Yes. The person you bought it from should have given you a clean bill-of-sale. Take all your personal stuff out of it, as it will soon and legally be gone.

User Avatar

No they cannot but that does not mean repo morons won't try.If you have any doubts call the Police Immediately !!!!

User Avatar

Yes. once they repo the car the only was to get items back is to pay off what you owe

As long as it takes to get it back.
