Plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen during the day but the do the opposite at night. Plants take in a small amount of oxygen so you don't have anything to worry about if you have them in your bedroom.

Basically plants like most living things breathe oxygen, but during day they take up more CO2 and negligible amount of O2 to prepare food.....But during night, they do not prepare food due to absence of sunlight, so do not require CO2 and take in more O2.....

No, plants don't produce oxygen in night, because there is no sun light and sun light is essential for photosynthesis. therefore, instead of producing oxygen, they consume oxygen and produce carbondioxide.

Yes.

In addition to performing photosynthesis which is fixation of carbon to produce sugars (food), plants also carry on respiration (just like animals do). To do this they use some of the food (sugars) they created by photosynthesis and oxidize it (using the same oxygen they produce by photosynthesis). This provides energy to perform the myriad of energy-intensive functions in the plant.

One example is that plants build strong fibers in order to grow tall and withstand the wind. To accomplish this, they create cellulose and lignin which are polysaccharides (complex sugars). This is an energy intensive process and the energy comes from respiration. Some plants carry on such functions mainly at night.

stomata

What is oxygen-carbon dioxide cycles?

the carbon dioxide oxygen cycle is how a human breathes out carbon dioxide and it goes to a plant and the plant breathes out oxygen and it goes to the human and that's how they get energy

Do vein transport oxygen and carbon dioxide to parts of the plant?

No the thylakoid and the stroma tranports oxygen and carbon dioxide to parts of the plant

Where does a plant get the carbon dioxide it needs for the dark reactions of photosynthesis?

From the air around it. During the day, plants absorb oxygen from the air. At night - they absorb carbon dioxide.

No, they use carbon dioxide to make oxygen.

What gas do plant release at day time and night time?

Oxygen. Because the plants need sunlight to produce it.

How does a plant take in oxygen and carbon dioxide?

Carbon dioxide is taken in, usually during the day, through stomata (tiny pores on the underside of a leaf), and simultaneously oxygen is released. At night, if the plant is using cellular respiration for energy, oxygen is taken in and carbon dioxide released. The oxygen that is released comes from the breakdown of water, because hydrogen is needed for the photosynthesis reactions.

Which 2 gases are exchanged at the surface of the air sac?

During photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and oxygen are exchanged. The plant uses the carbon dioxide for the photosynthesis and expels oxygen.

Which gas does plants breadth?

Plants taken both oxygen and carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide is used to make sugars and oxygen is liberated in the process. This occurs during the day due to photosynthesis. At night the plant require atmospheric oxygen for the air to carry out its cellular respiration.
