Yes, especially if you are on antibiotics and are on the birth control pill and didn't use a back up. Antibiotics can make the pill not work. Take a home test or go see your doctor to find out if you are pregnant. UTI's and antibiotics won't make your period late.

∙ 17y agoA bladder infection would probably not stop a period. If you ARE pregnant a bladder infection could cause you to miscarry. A bladder infection should be treated as it can backtrack to the kidneys so go to the doctor about the infection and tell him/her that you have missed your period.

Menstruation is determined by your menstrual cycle, a hormonal domino effect between your brain and your reproductive organs, thus a bacterial infection in other parts of your body will not effect your periods.
It's worth noting that when you do menstruate it's best to avoid commercial menstrual pads as they can increase risk of UTI's.

∙ 8y agoYou probably means urinary tract infection. It should not affect the menstruation. Although the severe infection may delay the periods.
According to WebMD: Nitrites. Bacteria that cause a urinary tract infection (UTI) make an enzyme that changes urinary nitrates to nitrites. Nitrites in urine show a UTI is present.
If you are pregnant, the urinary tract infection should not have any bearing on the result of your test. The test looks for hCG in the urine, and this is present if you are pregnant regardless of any infection.
