They certainly can!
The young pups will form a group with the parents and in most cases will even teach the younger siblings, or later pups, good manners. Just watch out! Males will breed at about 6 weeks and can get rowdy around newborns. The older female pups will sometimes help Mom take care of the younger siblings by keeping the nest warm and safe while mommy is out for a break!
Just make sure the males don't get rowdy or are separated before breeding time occurs, and keep an eye out for the occasional bully and the pups will be perfectly fine living with their parents.
P.S. If you only want one litter, make sure you remove the male immediately, as he will mate with the female between the birth of individual pups in one litter.
Yes. I have a friend and she has gerbils that are over one year old. They have had babies. In a gerbils lifespan gerbils have around 15 litters of babies.
Like any other mammal. The babies are born live, then after four weeks they leave their mother.
um no, only female gerbils can
7-8 gerbils in each liter
