Nonprofit employers are held to the same standards that are required of other employers in most states. However, depending on the labor laws of each state, special exceptions may be made for nonprofits/ Check with your state labor board to be sure.

In general, workers are entitled to quit their job at any moment and walk away without giving any notice. In the case of licensed professionals, walking away may put your license at risk. For example, if you are an RN assigned to the Intensive Care Unit and you quit and walk out, leaving patients at risk, you may be sanctioned by the State and lose your professional license. Employers may REQUEST two weeks' notice, with the understanding that failure to provide two weeks' notice will result in a negative reference when future prospective employers call your old job to ask if you were a good employee.

How many days paid holiday is a person who works a two-day week entitled to?

In the United States, employers are not required to pay holiday pay, or vacation time, to any employees. Holiday pay and vacation time are benefits, not something you are entitled to. When such paid time off is provided, it is usually only given to full-time employees. What classifies as "full-time" depends on the employer's definition unless local law stipulates otherwise. Full-time employees typically work between 32-40 hours per week. Someone who works only 2 days per week is likely part time and would likely not qualify even if their company offered paid time off.
