Yes, as it is an iron deficiency. Red blood cells are made with it by the body and these are important to foetal development. Remember though that too much iron is also dangerous. Maternal anemia will not affect the baby as the baby will take what it needs, but it will affect the mother if severe and can be extremely dangerous in labor.

Possibly, because when ur anemic, you lose iron in your blood. When you are pregnant, your baby shares everything in your body with you. If there isn't enough iron to go around, then the baby may not survive the pregnancy. I suggest you eat liver(packed with iron) and take iron supplements.

Check with your health care provider before eating too much liver during your pregnancy, I believe it is not advised due to the high levels of vitamin A.

You would have to be very ill with anemia to prevent you getting pregnant. If you are mildly anemic it should not make any difference in getting pregnant but a pregnancy does put great strain on the system and by the end you could be very anemic so you should really discuss your options with your doctor.

Iron in your blood helps the formation of red blood cells which are responsible for the supply of oxygen to your body organs. Deficiency of iron in your blood will lead to less supply of oxygen in your blood. Since your baby depends on you for its oxygen supply, deficiency of oxygen in your blood will lead to less oxygen supplied to your baby for normal development of the fetus.

She finds it difficult to muster up enough energy to perform normal daily tasks let alone supply the baby with all the nutrition. Iron supplements will help a bit, but the best thing to do is rehabilitate the ability of your blood to carry oxygen. This means;

1) cutting out pollution of any kind - especially the smoke kind

2) learning to breathe properly - slow and rhythmic (will help heaps with the delivery too)

3) treat yourself with medicine that does NOT involve strong drugs

energy field medicine could help a huge deal because it has no drugs etc. one option is at;

Pregnancy tests measure the level of beta-HCG, a hormone present during pregnancy. This can be tested for in blood or, more commonly, in urine. A low hemoglobin in your blood will not affect this reading in either case.
