Animals has always been the part of nature and continue their life in exact way with no harm to any nature developed substance,its a phenomena that animals were born with internal sense organs which alarms their activity if are any changes in air that carries electromagnetic waves,animals brains runs in a cycle system where as humans brains lives on organic,inorganic,biological,hierarchical level so we are able to develop implement things by our own,store data for better life,they live for short and has to bare nature greatest attacks in day to day life,be close to nature you will know if any wrong is next to hit.

∙ 12y agoAnimals can predict earthquakes because of the vibrationswhich happen before an earthquake, like snakes their head is closest to the ground so the are the best earthquake predictors in animals. A experiment was being done on the animals in that experiment the monkeys braked their own heads in trying to get out of their cages this clearly shows that the animals can predict earthquakes before one hour before the earthquake or flood or a tsunami. The main reason why animals can predict is hearing the vibrations which humans can't hear or observe but why animals like dogs, cats, or ducks can predict although their heads are not on the ground all the time like snakes, this thing is still not proved.

∙ 14y agoDogs, like most all animals, have extraordinary senses. This aids them in knowing weather in coming. so it's probably just like how birds know rain is coming.
(side facts-) did you know that before the earthquake somewhere in Asia, all the birds left the island the day before?
or that some tourists on an elephant ride were saved from a tidal wave because the elephants ran away to the high ground while carrying the tourists, thus saving themselves and the riders?
or that robins (and other birds I'm sure) have a different song for morning and evening, before and after rain, and while it's raining too.
Most animals have quite amazing senses, especially attuned to detect changes in nature.

∙ 13y agoAnimals will certainly feel the effect of an earthquake and react to it. Whether animals "know" is a tough question to answer. They probably don't have the concept of "earthquake". But some of them might have instincts that kick in when an earthquake is taking place.
