Like all insects, Ants do indeed breath. However, unlike humans and other mammals they do not have lungs and the oxygen is not carried by the blood. Instead they take oxygen in to their bodies through openings in the abdomen. This system of tubes, called tracheae and tracheoles, allows Atmospheric oxygen to pass to the tissues. The outside openings of tracheae are called "spiracles". Ants are small enough that they need only a few spiracles and these do not have valves to control the oxygen flow, as with larger insects.

Yes, ants do indeed 'defecate,' however, they are not developed in brain capacity to have the manners to 'poo' in an ant-sized toilet. They 'defecate' where they are standing, similar to dogs and other breeds of animals.

Ants have a central "vein" that is perforated which is basically how they breathe. So I would doubt that they sneeze, I don't think dust particles could fit through the perforations and hair would certainly not fit.yes they sneeze

∙ 12y agoAre you serious? That is quite a weird question to ask but no, they don't. They are too small to far- pass gas. Trust me, they'd blast themselves to space if they could considering the amount of power we release when we far- pass gas.
