Actually, it is VERY UNLIKELY that it would cause a miscarriage.

------ There is always a risk with antibiotics and pregnancies but the doctor will prescribe it if the alternative (you not taking it and the illness progress) is worse. So yes it can.

You can safely take antibiotics prescribed by your doctor when you are pregnant. The reason they are cautious during pregnancy is because it is not tested on pregnant women but I have never heard of a miscarriage due to antibiotics. You have to remember that they only prescribe it to a pregnant women if the alternative, the illness, is the more dangerous

choice.

No but they have not tested it on pregnant women. That is why you have to ask a doctor before using it since the reason you need it can be more damaging than the pregnancy.

yes i had a misscarriage after taking macrobid.....i was fine before ...after talking two doses of this ..i was in the hospital....
