Its possible that the remote itself is just bad. or that maybe the car needs to be re-programmed with the remote. either way best place would be a Renault dealership. Another suggestion is to go to an audio / alarm installation shop as they have key-less entry and remote start systems they can install.
Look in the owners manual. If it doesn't tell you then you will need to go to the dealership.
looks.
have you changed the battery
changed battery in 2000 chrystler sebring and now will not idle
this happened on my 1999 clio and found it was the key, i used the spare one and it worked straight away, if not then you have to ring Renault for them to sort it.

Legendary Dolphins wide receiver Mark Duper legally changed his name to Mark "Super" Duper. He changed his middle name from Kirby to Super.
I changed your battery?? I don't think so. I think your alternator is your problem!
If this is on your car it means your battery needs to be changed. HotKookies
I have a 1999 Chev Surburban. Yesterday I changed the battery and now every time I open one of the doors the theft alarm goes off. I've tried disconnecting the battery. locking all of the doors and opening them with a key. Nothing has worked yet. Anybody know the secret? thanks Ira
If you know the battery and connections at the battery are good then it is more than likely a defective starter.
