How do people have great voices?
The human voice is the sound produced by the air that is pushed to vibrate the vocal chords. The modulation, pitch depends on the thickness, ability to stretch the vocal chords by muscles. Some are born with a vocal chord that produces good harmonics and the voluntary ability to adjust the harmonics by the modulation of sound produced naturally. Some can to some extent practice to modulate the vocal chord muscles but the length & size of the vocal chords matter.

How do you play music and sing?
synchronize everytone you sing to a chord you are playing on the guitar or piano. Sing one tone per chord, then two per chord, then find out (feel) where you are comfortable changing vocal tones within the chord progression you are playing. keep it simple and don't make it a project, but a process. i-love-guitar.com.
Your voice broke singing it cracked when you hit the highest and loudest note you pushed it way to hard Will you ever recover?
Your voice should recover. Take it easy. Your vocal chord is a muscle. It is easy to strain. If it has not recovered in a week see an ear, nose, and throat doctor. Not only can you strain your vocal chord, you can break it. There are ways to amplify your voice without straining your vocal chords. It is too bad you have not been taught them.

What pieces of music have second inversion chords in them?
A second inversion chord has the fifth of the chord as the lowest note. One example is in "Ubi Caritas" as harmonized by Douglas Brooks-Davies. In measure 26, on the second syllable of "lites" there is a D minor chord built (bottom to top) as A-D-F (instead of D-F-A in root position). But any song could be arranged with a chord in the inversion. The above reference is to the vocal parts in "ubi Caritas." If you strum an A chord on guitar, the lowest note is E, the 5th of the A chord.

What is the meaning of the term phrase in music?
A phrase is the number of bars it takes for the chord progression of a song to repeat. For example, a 4-bar phrase is when the chord progression, drum beat, and/or vocal pattern of a song repeats every four measures. They will repeat every twelve measures in a 12-bar phrase. A phrase also determines when a change will occur. When the chord progression, drum beat, or vocal pattern changes, it will always change after the end of a phrase. If the song does have a drum track, there will often (but not always,) be a fill near the end of a phrase.
