Yes you will still get symptoms of pregnancy if you conceive while on Birth Control pills. But, why are you continuing to take birth control pills when you suspect you may be pregnant? This will harm the unborn fetus and cause disabilities including miscarriage. Also ; birth control pill will give you pregnancy symptoms. Because you've had normal periods which lasted 3 days I would think it's unlikely you're pregnant. While on birth control your period will be a lot lighter than it previously was. It is most likely the pill causing this light bleeding which is normal but do a pregnancy test to be certain.

It depends on which pills you switch to. Different birth control pills have different levels of estrogen and progesterone in different forms. Some women's bodies respond differently. So it could be completely normal to have light periods when switching pills. Also, remember that when you're on the birth control pill, any amount of bleeding or spotting during the placebo or pill-free week is considered a period. However, the number one cause of irregular bleeding is pregnancy. If you are worried about this, take a pregnancy test soon and discontinue your birth control pills if you are pregnant.

All hormonal birth control methods, like the pill, patch, ring, shot, and the hormonal IUD, lighten the amount of flow you have. Any amount of bleeding or spotting counts as a period if you're on hormonal birth control.

If you're on the pill chances of cenceiving are very low anyway. If you got a period, even if it was a weak one, you can be certain that you are not pregnant.

Does starting birth control a day before your period ruin your period cycle?

I'm not sure what you mean by "ruin" your period cycle. If you start most forms of hormonal birth control the day before your period, that period may be lighter or shorter, or absent, and your next episode of bleeding is likely to come in about 3 1/2 weeks.

Is there any way you can make your period come sooner or make it last for a shorter amount of time?

Hello The only way to make your period arrive earlier than usual for you is by taking birth control pills and by missing some pills or you can miss a period completely by continuing to take birth control pills instead of going onto the sugar pills. But you can only do this when you've been on birth control pills for about two months because the first month will be all over the place. Birth control pills do make your period lighter, less painful and can make your period shorter.
