If boundaries and time frames are not set, nowadays, boys especially, think that is the only thing they have to do and want to do. I give my son a 1/2 hour a day, 1 hour if its raining, with any of his electronic, including the household computer. This is as long as he has done his chores and been behaving properly. If not, no electronics. They seem to get in a zone and I believe they become addicted to it, on some level. I also have seen for myself and heard from other parents that when it does come to other activities, if they dont get instant gratification, like a reward in a video game, they get annoyed with themselves and when they lose at something or do poorly at something, they think they are a failure. I told my son early on that electronics games are a fantasy world sometimes created from real life situations that most likely he will never be involved in other than on his "gameboy" lets say, so use it as a form of entertainment not a guideline to your daily living.
After years of research, I concluded that parents think this because they
1. never experienced the greatness of a good video game.
2. are over protective.
3. are completely ignorant.
4. secretly want to annoy you.
I played GTA San Andreas when I was three at my cousin's house and I'm not completely messed up.
No one knows for sure WHY parents believe this kind of nonsense, but maybe the answer will become clear with further study.
Either because they feel that their children's mental maturity is sufficient to handle the content, or because they'll do anything just to stop their kids badgering them for a game they want.
no cause that's really wrong...
No. They should play the games their parents determine are appropiate for them.
cuz i play them
No. "Mature" games are not suitable for anyone under 17.
yeah, why wouldn't you? i have several mature games that i play on mine, and it would be ridiculous to buy a system that wouldn't let it play certain games. you can block games through your personal settings.
On facebook you can play lots of mature game like UNO, poker, and lots of more
Both like to play in their backyard. Children are children, no matter where they grow up. They like to smile and laugh and play games. Jewish children and Palestinian children are no different from one another. It is when they mature and develop unique perspectives that they start to diverge.
When your 17 years old.
Everyone does =)
Personally my children are drawn to reality and quite mature so its not that big a deal what my sons play or watch, I played lots of over rated games 20 years ago am still alive and sane so I don't think any one should be restricted from what they see or here.

what games did the yakima tribe play
yes because the games that come out are mature. i blame the parents of the kids for letting them play. I'm tired of playing with little kids online
