Best Answer

Many dogs are eager to eat anything resembling food, and will happily eat chocolate if they can get it.

However, they shouldn't be allowed to. Chocolate - particularly Dark Chocolate - contains a chemical that's really dangerous to dogs if the dose is big enough.

No dogs shouldn't eat human food really. But having a dog eat chocolate is a no-no because it can make the dogs sick and it also can be fatal. It is because chocolate has a thing that dogs can't digest very well.

Chocolate is NEVER good for dogs, but sometimes it's not bad enough to be noticed.

Big dog, really bland Milk Chocolate, you might never see any effect.

Giving dogs chocolate is still a bad idea.

No, dogs cannot eat any kind of chocolate. Actually, the darker the chocolate the more toxic it is to the dog. The most toxic is the baker's chocolate.
