It's certainly better not to.
I'm answering you on June 24th, 2010. Assuming the egg has been refrigerated, it should be fine. I've eaten eggs long after their best-before date. However, have you ever had a really fresh egg? Only a couple of days old? Once you've tried one, you won't want to go back to old-but-eatable eggs!
Na, its fine. But once you eat it, you will never have it again.
Frankly speaking, I can't, it will make me sick.
The sell by date is a date set by the government that the product has to be sold by or removed from sale. This is to keep it from spoiling. Best if used by is when the product may lose moisture, or some flavor or for some other reason may not be as good to eat. Not spoiled, just not what the manufacturer wants his product to taste or look like.
