guinea pigs like to get out and play especially with each other. if your goiong to let your pigs run around together i would recommend a plastic childrens pool, because then you know were they are and its EASY to clean!
;o) yes i think they do i let me guinea pig run around the house it is so funny
No. Do not make guinea pigs run on wheels. The wheels are often too small for a guinea pig, and it will make their spines break, or their feet can get stuck in the wires if the wheel does not have a solid bottom. Wheels are only made for hamsters, gerbils, hedgehogs etc... Hope this helped!
well, you shouldn't let them be able to run around the ENTIRE house. try taking them into a hall, closing all the doors, and blocking the entrance, and let them run around in there. but remember: the guinea pigs will poo in the hall,so when you put them back in the cage, be ready to pick up their poo.
Yes. Guinea pigs do run fast. But not too fast to catch. They also can fit into tiny spaces that people commonly think are too small. Hope this has been helpful!
They do but you should NEVER have your guinea pig in a wheel. It harms their spin and can even result in death.
You can buy a guinea pig in anchorage from a local petco there is one in dimond and there is the new one by michaels, old navy, famous footwear and bed bath and beyond. also you could go to the aspca they have 5 guinea pigs there and you could rescue them.
Hay helps guinea pigs (and rabbits) with their teeth. It helps keep them nice and trim, you must provide your guinea pig with an unlimited supply of hay everyday.
It is spelled "guinea pig". You got it right! :)
I don't know about females, but we recently bought a baby male pig and he cost us $35.
Actually, that's a very good question! :) Guinea pigs usually are sold with hair from a petstore, [petsmart, petco, pet extreme etc etc.] You can buy or adopt a skinny guinea pig either from the pound [SPCA, ASPCA] or from a private skinny guinea pig breeder. I'm sure that if there is no skinny guinea pig breeder in your town, there's one close by! =] Good luck on finding your hairless cavy!!!!!!!!
I think the safest place to buy a guinea pig is at petco probably.
petco and petsmart are good places to get it but there are more.
No! Have you seen what they do to guinea pigs? They keep them in such small GLASS CAGES! that proves PETCO cannot do anything good for your guinea pig. Not to be harsh, but you need to buy nail clippers from petco and cut them yourself. And NEVER, EVER let PETCO cut your guinea pigs nails.
Yes, PetSmart and PetCo both allow you to bring in your pets.
I buy the kaytee Timothy complete pellets and they are about $8 at petco.
I think the cheapest is $10 and the most expensive is $35.
Well they are born in south amarica and do I would go to petco
You local pet store( like petco) should have some spray to treat tics.
petco not petsmart :)
Abbyssinian guinea pigs range from $20 to 40$ in cost. It is worth it though. They might be just the cutest, nicest, and cuddliest guinea pigs of all. Strait haired guinea pigs usually cost about the same. I recommend if you are buying a guinea pig to shop at a pet store such as PETCO and PETSMART. ----
no it cant they do not like the wheels or the ball
You must purchase them online. They are uncommon in pet stores. However, Petco sells guinea pig leashes!
