Implantation bleeding is a "one off" and should not occur every month. Any bleeding during pregnancy should be investigated by your Doctor or Ob Gyn.

The actual bleeding from the implantation happens once. The fertilized egg only implants once. However, some women bleed consistantly throughout their pregnancy; every month. Generally, if you're pregnant and you're a bleeder, it stops after month 3. Always get regular checkups just to be safe.
If you get your period I do not believe it could have been implantation bleeding. You cannot get a period when you are pregnant. Any bleeding that you could have gotten would be implantation bleeding, which isn't very common, and you would not have gotten your period afterwards. No the above answer is wrong. You CAN get your period when you are pregnant. Not just once but every month. A woman in Canada just gave birth and didn't even know she was pregnant because she had a regular period every month, had no pregnancy symptoms and because she is a larger woman, could not see her stomach grow. Therefore, YES you CAN get pregnant and still have a period.
Very rare

Yes, it is possible. This bleeding you see could be implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is the result of the fertilized egg(s) implanting itself into the uttering lining which results in bleeding and occasionally abdominal cramping. This form of bleeding takes place six to twelve days after ovulation. ( A females ovulation generally takes place 14 days before her period). There will not be a large amount of blood, some women may not even notice any. Implantation bleeding only lasts a couple of days, this is the way to compare and contrast the difference between implantation and menstrual bleeding. You must keep in mind though that not everyone will experience implantation bleeding.
No. A mild bleed in the first month of pregnancy is usually due to implantation, and can mimic menstruation.
