The patient is then monitored closely with CT scans for the next several years following up to make sure there are no new tumors. The more time that the patient has clear scans the rate of recurrence declines. If they do find them then they can restage the patient and start the treatment options with the patients.

So at this time we can't say there is a cure for lung cancer but for some patients there is treatment. Its a case by case battle that age, other health issues and factors come into play. So for some a surgery will cure them. For some Chemo will cure them and for some Chemo and Radiation will cure them.

I bet I can answer this question. In fact, I think my cure would work. You need a sample of any type of virus because that will be the key. The virus will infect the tumor. A virus is a bad thing like cancer. Once the tumor is infected badly, the tumor is exposed. When the tumor is gone, the virus will go to infect the immune system (Where there are some cancer cells) will kill them. When all the cancer is gone, give the patient some Antibiotics to kill the virus. That is my cure. Hope you people out there like it!
