Usually, yes. As long as the remaining testicle is fertile, and the man is producing sperm actively, he should be able to reproduce. As long as sperm is being produced and the man is able to ejaculate normally, there is no reason he should be unable to have a child. The second testicle is really only there as a backup; only one is needed to house sperm.

Yes. He can still have a child of either gender. Each testis produces both X and Y sperm cells. Having a male testis and a female testis is a common misconception. The truth is, both testes are the same.

Yes.

Are you POSITIVE on that? My husband only has 1 testicle due to a hernia removal at birth and we were told we could only have male children. So we have decided not to have another child since a girl was "out of the question"

- I am not sure who told you that you were unable to conceive a girl, but removing one testicle does not mean you cannot have a girl. Boys do not have one testicle that only produces Y chromosomes, and the other X chromosomes. You most definitely still have a chance at having a girl, however, you also have a chance at having a boy. I have heard that the time of intercourse in relation to ovulation can increase your chances of conceiving one sex over another because male sperm sometimes tend to swim slightly faster than female sperm.

The internet has a lot of unreliable sources. I suggest you go to a public library and look in their human reproduction area to see for yourself that you can still conceive a girl.

Your Jack Russell has only 1 testicle is he still able to mate?

He should be neutered if by the age of six months if he only has one testicle, as he could get cancer in the one that hasn't dropped. My Jack Russell has the same and that's what my vet told me.

Should you neuter a 6 month old male puppy if only one testicle has dropped?

Yes. :P My friends all had their dogs spayed or neutered at around 4 months. It will probably only take 1 week for the other testicle to drop and only 2 weeks to book an appointment. Why does your 2yr old cult horse only show 1 testicle?

A Cryptorchid is a male horse who has at least one testicle that was retained in the abdomen. Normally a colt's testicles will descend or "drop" at about 1 year, and a ring (Inguinal ring) closes above it to keep it in the scrotum. Sometimes the ring closes and leaves the testicle in the abdomen instead of the scrotum.
