It can really go both ways. You will get the muchies wich makes you eat alot. But it does speed up your metabolism and when you smoke a lot, like every day you will not get the muchies as much anymore, maybe once in a while, but you will lose weight. A lot! I have always been a bit chubby but after smoking fa lot for quite a while i was stick thin. NOTE that it is not worth it as you get lasy and you wont get anything done. And when i quitted it i put it all back on VERY fast ++, For the record I know peolple who smok A LOT that is really fat. The only way to get thin and keep it that way is to eat healthy and excercise, there is no easy way.

When smoking marijuana regularly some people get to the point where they will usually only get hungry when they are high. If you lightly use it then your more likely to gain weight. The key is to make sure you eat three meals a day with grain, protein, and a balanced food group. If you are a regular smoker then you should also be taking multivitamins. It's always good to take vitamins especially if you don't eat much or your living on a poor balanced diet. Try reducing the amount you smoke regularly. When smoking the substance your heart rate increases and your body uses more nutrients than normal, it is possible to become malnourished when excessively smoking. You may notice muscle weakness, tiredness, bags under eyes, drowsiness, depression, paranoia, delusional thoughts, and in some cases of younger people using marijuana may cause schizophrenia.
Marijuana is better than alcohol use as long as it's in moderation.
