The only species that can have babys as males are the seahorses. there are exceptions to the rule...certin amphibians can change their gender, when their population is at risk of becoming extinct, due to a lack of members of the opposite sex. boy guinea pigs can not do either of these things, so in this case "boys WILL be boys"
Yes, of course! If you pair a male and a female, then your female should become pregnant within a few days, maybe weeks though, and then you should have baby guinea-pigs after about 68 days. There can be up to 5 guinea-pigs per litter, so be careful when you breed them!!!
Like pretty much, anything else yes!
Yes they can. The "first time" pregnancy would be best between 5-8 months old. Any time after that it could be very dangerous for the mother, as long as she has had babies between then, it would be okay still to have them after. But just know that its Always dangerous no matter how old they are to try and breed them!
It is possible for sibling guinea pigs to mate, and unlike in the human world, when this happens it doesn't usually result in mental retardation.
However, it CAN result in physical health problems and general frailty, which may mean the offspring will die young or be subject to cancer, epileptic fits, haemorrhaging, and so on. It's never a good idea for sibling animals to mate with each other, even although the effects are not as dramatic as when human beings do this.
Guinea Pigs can get pregnant from the age 6 weeks and up. x
Hello,
a guinea pig can start mating at the age of 3-4 weeks old, they can even mate with their mother :)
No it is a male it is simply impossible for a male guinea pig to get pregnant
Male animals don't get pregnant. Guinea pigs are also not a species in which the male cares for the young, like seahorses do.
Around 4 years.
Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if a guinea pig has ever had babies before.
yes a guinea pig can have two babies if the conditions are correct and the fertilization is proper
when my guinea pig had babies i held her and she was fine
well in one go a female guinea pig can have 20 babies sbut the most i have seen n one go are 60
no our guinea pig had her babies at around 2 in the afternoon
No.
no
yes and no, a guinea pig can not feed it's babies with two teats, but only if it has more than two babies.
Yes I think so my Guinea pig had babies and we don't think she came in contact with a male
Yes
there probley frightend
I would not recommend it. Just have the Mother Guinea Pig in with her babies separately. Sometimes the other guinea pigs can get excited and accidentally stomp the babies to death so best to keep Mom & babies separate.
