You can be baptized as many times as you want to, but you'd have to ask yourself why you're doing it.

If you're referring to a second baptism in the Holy Spirt, many Charismatic and Pentecostal believers do believe in a second baptism. However, it should be noted that the overwhelming majority of Christians do not hold to this belief, and some even consider it to be heretical. The belief generally stems from passages in Acts chapters 1 and 11 which describe a time when the Holy Spirit "fell" on the Apostles and recent converts. However, throughout the past 2,000 years of church history, these events have been interpreted as part of a special transitional time after Christ's death and resurrection. Romans 8:9 (along with other verses) makes it very clear that all believers have the Holy Spirit, and do not need a second baptism.

You'll get different answers from different churches. Baptist churches hold that there is only one proper form of baptism - immersion - and therefore if you were baptized in another mode (for example, "sprinkling"), you weren't really baptized and they will baptize you "properly".

Reformed churches such as Presbyterian churches recognize all baptisms (immersion, sprinkling, pouring) as long as they are done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They will baptize a person only once - doing it twice suggests that God's grace is somehow tied to how baptism is done or who does it, at least in Reformed eyes.

This is an extra but, just about for any religion im sure it would be good to be baptized once again.

You get baptized once and then when you grow older, you do your conformation. Conformation is when you get baptized again because when you were young, you didn't know anything, so you get a second chance to say 'NO' to the evil and say 'YES' to God.

Yes. It is possible.

But why? A person is baptized when they declare their faith in Jesus Christ as saviour. In The Bible we don't read about people being baptized more than once. Biblical baptism is a one off act.

No, only one baptism is needed. If a priest is uncertain if a person has been properly baptized, he may give the person a conditional baptism saying, "(name), if you have not been baptized before, I baptize you in the name of the Father, . . . etc."

depends on your religion. Yes, but what would be the point? To send the same message more than once just in case those watching missed it the first time?

Was John Baptized by Jesus?

Not really, Im a Protestant. The thing is that we dont baptise infants full stop. This is because infants dont know what theyre doing so youre just getting them wet. Jesus got baptised when he was a grown man so we baptise people when theyre already old enough to know what theyre doing, im 17 and just got baptised. And yes we baptise in water.

Who baptized john the Baptist's mum?

John the baptist' mother was never baptised at all until her son John baptised Jesus Christ (the first person to be baptised), it was only then that people decided to come up and be baptised. It never says in the bible if John's mother was baptised or not but she probably was. People got baptised at a much older age back then compared to today's tradition of getting baptised between the age of 0 and 3)

Your child was baptised in chapple can you now have him christed in the church?

When a child is baptized ,he is usually given a name in the church at the same time.Baptism is a Christian sacrament and not one specific to a particular denomination. Therefore if your child was baptised in a chalel, then he/she is baptised, period. There is absolutely no need for him/her to be baptised again in a church as he/she is baptised already.
