Sign languages are now written languages just like many spoken languages. Several writing systems exist for writing movement-based languages. SignWriting, invented by Valerie Sutton in 1974 is the only one that has become an everyday writing system in several countries. HamNoSys was created in Europe to write European sign languages, Stokoe notation was created to prove that American Sign Language is a language with its own grammar, but only SignWriting was created on the basis of human movement so that it can write any sign language in the world. It is used by experts in more than 40 countries at last count and is being taught at the University level in Brazil, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Malta, Ethiopia and some pilot projects in the United States. Symposia created by linguists throughout the world were started in 2015. SignWriting projects have been a part of the Theoretical Issues in Sign Language Research since 2000.

Learning sign language is not easy. For one thing, it is not just about the signs you learn. Sign language is a foreign language like Spanish.
Sign language is as old as vocal language. No one knows where or when it began.
* communication mean like you talk to some one or show your sign language. * communication can also send message, talk in the phone, write a note,or purhappse show your sign language. * even communication like different people speak different language.
It is their method of communication. What is the importance of English to you? Sign language is the form of communication for the deaf. Without it, how would deaf people communicate? Some would say to write things out to one another. But, how would you teach someone to read and write as a form of communication when there is no way to communicate with them to do this?
Overall, most use sign language. Other ways include: Deaf's- Can write and mouth and some can talk Blinds- Can talk and here but not see Mutes- Sign Language and write.
