Can parents kick their child out at the age of 18 even though he is in 11th grade?

No, they cannot. Expelling a minor for from their parent or legal guardian's home is an act of neglect. Generally when police officers encounter a child who has been kicked out or locked out, they will bring them back to the parent and force the parent to let them back in. If they refuse, they are arrested and charged with neglect. This is true in all states.

If a child is committing crimes, the parent can alert the police to the criminal act and see to it that the child is prosecuted. There are also limited circumstances where the parent does not have the means or ability to care for the child with medical problems any longer. But a parent does not have authority to decide they want to expel their child from the home just because they want to.

You bet they can. There is no hard and fast rule between teenagers and their parents. I know you feel mature enough to make most of your own decisions, but the bottom line is, your parents love you, worry about you (will until the day they die) and perhaps some of their house rules sound off the wall to you, but really sit down and ask yourself if they are really all that bad. The main thing between teenagers and parents is respect. There is going to be some misunderstandings and especially mothers hate the idea that their kids growing up and soon will be leaving home, while the teenager is ready and eager to persue life and a future and get out from under parental rulings. I think you have what it takes to start taking on some maturity, so sit down, write out a list of the rules of your parents home, study them and really be honest with yourself as to the fact are they fair or unfair, and if they are unfair, why? Then sit down with your parents (no arguing) and discuss this list with them and communicate how you feel. Be realistic and don't try to argue. See if the 3 of you can come halfway. That happend to me in the year 2000 and I have resented my mother every since. She had her reasons I'm sure, but she was thinking about her problems only. I definitly was not ready to go out into the world and deal with the everyday realities, much less, the very hard choices one has to make when faced with homelessness and poverty. So, are they right for doing it? No. Can they? Yes. Legally, yes.
