Can people really have visions

No. There are no psychic abilities to see the future.

This is not to say that there aren't "feelings" about future events. If you didn't do your homework, and feel that tomorrow your dad is going to ground you, that's just common sense based on experience. Not a premonition of some kind of psychic nature.

Nor are the astrological columns that make generalized predictions like "I see a famous celebrity meeting with tragedy this year!" really psychic visions. It's just playing the good odds that somewhere, some celebrity will have something happen that could be called "tragic".

Yes. Some people are gifted with the ability to see into the future. This is called pre-cognition. Some psychics use cards as a focus, others use touch and stil others read palms. While there are many fakes, there are also some people who really can see into the future.

No. Those with supposed "pre-cognitive" abilities all failed to warn of 9/11. Or the collapse of the Soviet Union. Or Princess Diana's untimely death. If any were real, surely one amongst them would have spoken up. And bear in mind, having foreknowledge of a crime and doing nothing makes you an accessory.

To believe then in pre-cognition, one must claim that everyone who has the ability is a completely amoral sociopath, who contradictorily, also does not wish to use their "power" to seize control of humanity.

One cannot have it both ways. Evil enough not to warn of 9/11 is evil enough to desire to control Earth. There were no warnings, and there are no psychic overlords. Therefore, no "pre-cognition".

Yes. I can categorically say that this is the case, when i was a child i saw a plane crashing into houses , i was sat chatting at school and i just looked and saw this image for around ten seconds . i told everyone i was near and drew a picture . ten days later the event happened in lockerby.

around end august i was in my lounge in the middle of a conversation with someone , i stopped and explained what i saw . it was like looking at a translucent image of a plane and the undercarriage wheels in the ceiling of the room and flames further away i relayed what i was seeing . and told my family. two weeks later on sept 11th i received lots of phone calls and my image was seen again.

I had another and the last of the visions i saw three men in dark thick black coats facing away from me towards a moving train these men were different height i sensed that they knew the train was going to crash. i told my sister and two weeks later the french train crash occurred.

i had one the experience a man came into a restaurant where i was having lunch , i felt a seriously strong connection to him i had never seen him before . he was eight two elderly persons. he was i suspect not related to them his skin dark and his hair thick and dark . he came over to my table stood next to me and made the sign of the cross on his body stood a few seconds and walked out of the restaurant . i never saw him again.

i have a sence of when my one daughter is in trouble i ring her if i feel this . one one occasion her friend was raped and the man convicted and imprisoned for the crime . this happened whilst my daughter was a few minutes from home having had a chat with me around ten mins earlier . we both sensed something was wrong and she told me as she got home she didn't know why but she thought i WA sright this time . she didn't know about her friend until several days later .

i record everything now but don't know what to do with this information. i am scared if i might see something in a vision again as i feel that i am going to have to tell someone of significance but i am worried about repercussions.

so whoever said people with visions should feel guilts for not reporting it . help me find who would listen cos i am just a normal person i don't think anyone would listen to me or take my call about any vision anyway. but i am open to suggestions.

i don't want to come across as crazy or weird but i have these short dreams that come in and out while I'm asleep and they only last for a moment but the dreams consist of random people or even sometimes my friends and i. during these dreams something out of the ordinary will happen then the dreams over and i fall back into a deep sleep and forget the dream until moments before it happens in real life. i would just like to further expand my knowledge of this peculiar experience if you have any ideas or help please answer!

In my research I have found that when people are asleep there brains become more sensitive to 'things'. A vision of the past or future probably can come from this sensitivity.

the same thing happens to me i think it might be a pyschic thing or premonitions hope this was helpful.

Yes its been proven conclusively that people experience visions especially when their flesh body is clinically dead. Some times vision occur with persons who are not in peril of life and limb. Most of late however occur as a result of clinical death, of which we discover their existence after the person has resurrected.

It is proclaimed by the prophet Joel (2:28)

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pourout my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:"

Joel 2 starts with "Blow the Trumpet" so it has reference to 1st Corinthians 15, and 7th trumpet, the Day of the Lord.

Visions at that time will be common place.

Yes, you can get visions. People received visions both in Old Testament and in New Testament. Many people claimed to receive visions throughout the history until the present time.

However, one should be careful to analyze the origin of the vision. Not all visions are from God. Anything that is contradictory to the revealed Word of God (the Holy Bible) is not from God.

In Old Testament times, Abraham (Gen 15:1), Samuel (1 Sam 3:15), Isaiah (Isa 1:1), Daniel (Dan 2:19) and others got visions. Zacharias (Luk 1:22), disciples of Jesus (Mat 17:9), and Apostle Paul (Act 16:9; 18:9) got visions in the New Testament time. In the present time, individuals like Sadhu Sunder Singh (former devout Hindu) and Gulshan Esther (former devout Muslim girl) claimed that they got visions of Jesus Christ. The claimed vision of Muhammed, the prophet of Islam, would be considered as one not from God since Muhammed's vision contradicted the prophets of the Old Testament and the writings of the New Testament.

Many people get mild feelings of premonition; a feeling that something is about to happen, be it good or bad.

It can be as mild as a "hunch" of "gut feeling" about the gender of an unborn child, or just not wanting to get on "that" bus.

Or it can be as strong as a nagging feeling you should know what is about to happen; that a sports team "just can't loose this year"; or that "this is not a good time to invest".

This is not all that uncommon and many people don't even think this is something to comment upon.

Some people have what is termed as an "uncanny knack" for seeming to know about things in advance.

There are those who would consider this "just being lucky," others question the validity of the "luck" but some of these people will tell you they do have a "feeling of knowing" or premonition.

Few however, have ever taken it to the next level by recording the incidences.

A few people have what could be considered precognition or foreknowledge and most of those keep some form of journal with the "feelings", "sights", "visions", "precognitions", "predictions" or whatever they call their talent.

It is very rare for any of these people to get a full image.

Most often they get something like, "The feeling of immediate danger, to a large, male person of importance to them"

Now they have to track down who, is it their father, their boss or their brother-in-law and what is the "danger." It could be an accident, a burglary, a financial setback, or even just tripping and stubbing their toe.

These sorts of riddles as easiest to understand after the fact, say, when their best friend is in a car accident and suffers a broken leg.

Big - male - important to them - danger... it all seems so simple in hindsight.

This is why they keep a journal with dated entries of their "precognitions." Later, when the "precognition" comes to pass they enter newspaper clippings, photo or other hard evidence into the journal with their dated entry.

Even the very best at this sort of thing do not have a one hundred percent accuracy rate. It is, therefore, very easy for the main stream to discount any sort of validity to the claims of those who do experience them.

All people can dream, although the dreams have no real prophetic or spiritual meaning. They can hallucinate as a result of eating certain plants or as a result of ecstatic rituals such as those used by shamans. Again, hallucinations have no prophetic or spiritual meaning. And some people can 'see' the appearance of a god or saint in a faint shadow or distant object. But no one has ever had a supernatural or prophetic vision.
