Psychopaths are often very manipulative people, and are generally very skilled at lying. Psychopaths can absolutely fool people into thinking that they love them. However, since true psychopaths do not have any empathy, they are not capable of love in the traditional sense and any "love" that they show is simply manipulative behavior.

In fact, many leaders of doomsday cults (cults that drive their followers to their deaths, such as the Heaven's Gate cult) were these types of psychopaths. Finally, there are secondary psychopaths, who may feel slight emotions of worry or guilt. These are avid risk-takers, exposing themselves to more stress and danger than the average person, who play by their own rules.People will often confuse sociopaths and antisocial disorders with Psychopathy.
How does brain imaging show the relationship between biological factors and behavior?
No. It just shows how well the areas of the brain are functioning, but if there is an area that has a problem it could point to the reason why certain behaviors are happening. In a way it does show a relationship, but not a direct one. For example psychopaths, who have slightly different DNA, have been imaged in their brain and it shows us how they try to have emotions but process them logically because of their DNA limitations, versus people with regular brains show emotional part response to stimuli unlike the psychopath
