what do red- tailed hawk eat

It had eaten the head off the snake. Talons and beak were covered in blood--the snake's head was missing. I went away for 20 minutes and came back and the hawk was back at the snake again. I will post the video on YouTube. Look for wildmandl and Hawk With Rattlesnake,
