Only if you also swap out the transmission because of the gear ratio in a v6 tranny is lower causing your engine to rev high
It is MUCH cheaper to just sell your V6 and buy a LS1 equipped vehicle. 1998-2002 f-bodies are starting to show their age now, so they are quite affordable.
I know the 1998 to 2002 camaro z28, ss have same ls1 engine as the corvette ls1. Only differets is horsepower. A pc program can change the horsepower to both camaro and corvette
NO! ls1's did not go into the z28s until 1998
Well depends on how much work you want to do. The engine will fit but the mounting locations are different because 98 was the first year of the LS1 in the Camaro. You are better off with an LS1 it is a much better engine anyways! Well depends on how much work you want to do. Not electronic. But mechanical yes. NOTE: a 1996 camaro has the LT1. A 1998 Camaro has the LS1. A lot of things are different.
That is something that is very hard to determine given such little information, and considering that the Camaro didn't come with the LS1 engine until 2008. If it has an engine swap, then it really only comes down to what someone wants to pay. For reference, however, a 1994 Camaro with an LT1 engine can range from 1200 to 2400 depending on the condition, options, and your location. To see for yourself, search google for Kelly Blue Book.
yes you can but if you can put an ls1 why not put an LS2? get close to 500 horse power... if you can afford it
I've seen a 04 Grand Prix with a LS1, so I would say yes but lots of custom fab on mating the engine to the transmission/flexplate and headers/exhaust.
rated at about 320 but it's more like 350
305 at the crank for camaro and trans am and 345 for the corvette
Yes.
You have got to be fukking kidding... v6 3800 or the v8 Ls1
