Ghenghis khan won against the muslims using tactics that deceived his enemy.deception is a tool that can and should be used in war.war itself is dishonorable.to drag it out using honorable tactics would only increase the number of casualties and importantly the enemy would be able to predict what you are likely to do next.you cannot reason with religious fanatics with little or no education or subverted education that do not respect your right to worship our creator as they wish.

The entire question is based on two major incorrect premises. First and most important is that the US is not in a War on Islam or anything similar. The US is in a war whose stated goal is the elimination of Terrorism, not Islam. Second is the fallacy that killing millions of Muslims would help in winning a war. If you kill millions of people it only promotes anger and a righteous thirst for vengeance among those who remain. Additionally, killing millions of people is a horrible and unaceptable method of fighting any war. Every person, be they Muslim or Non-Muslim has the right to a life with dignity and respect.

Since Muslims are not the enemy, a massive firebombing campaign would only serve to kindle additional hatred for the United States and its policies. Contrary to Answer 1, I would never recommend the usage of Genghis Khan and Hülegü Khan's reprehensible tactics, such as forcing civilians from captured villages to stand on the front line, slaughtering entire families in the cities he conquered, and pillaging and burning with minimal regard to human life. What Americans should do is forge stronger ties with moderate leaders and parties in the Islamic World and help finance them so that they can help pacify their own countries from the inside out.
