Can the dealership help you if one week after you bought a used car all the lights on the dash came on and your brakes also went out on you?

You may have gotten a warrantee that covers the power train for 30 days or 1,000 miles but nothing here sounds like a power train failure. If it's an almost-new car and you got the factory warrantee transferred, you can probably get the dash lights repaired, but the brakes are a maintenance item that wouldn't be covered even by a bumper-to-bumper warrantee, unless it is more than just worn out pads.
