In the heart? Where else? You cannot shoot a deer in the shoulder. It will hit the bone and you will not be able to track it. Trust me. You could also shoot them in the neck if you want to drop it in is tracks, but you have to be super confident and a good shot. So good luck shooting.

It depends on where you live, whether or not deer hunting with crossbows is allowed. You will need to check with your DNR.

If you are allowed, do NOT aim for the head. Crossbows are not guns, they are similar to a traditional bow.

You want to go for a double lung shot to kill a deer.
