Yes, it can. It measures the engine oil pressure and if it fails, the pressure can come through it losing oil.
The 195's are a l skinner then the 215's across the tread and will cause damage to the sidewalk and eventually the tire will fail. It will also cause a tire to ware out
hi . i also own a 1998 Pontiac trans sport i was having the same overheating problem. try replaceing the thermostat first .or like me replace the lower intake gASKET MINE WAS BAD!! IF YOU HAVE NO heat in the van and the temp gauge in the van keeps jumping up and down that's what it is
My oil pressure gauge is dropping to o and the oil was just changed and is full. What could cause this
Bad fans or the sensors that tell the fan when to kick on are bad.
no but it can stop the fuel pump from running.
tire or wheel out of balance? broken mount on rear of transmission. I have seen where the threads for the bolts into the trans are ripped out.
I had this problem on my 93' and put in a used (but 'good') TPS. It died again within two weeks. a TPS is reall just a Variable Reistor (potentiometer) so a used unit in theory should be fine. However, I then replaced it with a New unit and its been working fine ever since.
Start by determining why it's not closing all the way, then you make your repair accordingly. There's more than one possible reason why this deficiency exists - you've given us nothing to narrow down that list of possibilities with.
LA1 3.4 L V6 The LA1 3400 ("E-code") was a bored-out version of the LG8.It kept the OHV layout of the previous engine and appeared in a car for the first time in the 1999 Pontiac Grand Am and Oldsmobile Alero.A 92 mm (3.6 in) bore with the same 84 mm (3.3 in) stroke brought the displacement to 3.4 L (3350 cc) The 3.4 L engine is known to have intake manifold gasket problems, much like all other GM v6's. This is known to cause engine damage if the owner of the car neglects to change the gaskets- so car companies have released gaskets that correct this problem for good, such as :# 1996 Chevrolet Lumina APV/Pontiac Trans Sport/Oldsmobile Silhouette # 1997-2004 Chevrolet Venture/Pontiac Montana/Pontiac Trans Sport/Oldsmobile Silhouette # 1999-2004 Oldsmobile Alero GL/GLS # 1999-2005 Pontiac Grand Am SE/GT # 2002-2005 Pontiac Aztek/Buick Rendezvous # 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala # 2000-2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
The light is not a low oil light, it is a low oil pressure light. Yes, a weak pump will cause this. Also a bad oil pressure sending unit can cause this.
