Can the windshield wiper arm post go bad any arm and blade replacement attached will not lay against the windshield correctly?

Well -- I found out that the heater blower is located under the hood against the firewall right above the windshield washer fluid container. You will need to remove the panel in front of it, then remove the blower and shroud, and R & R. The blower replacement was fairly inexpensive -- MUCH less at NAPA than at a dealer.
