Oh my goodness.... Yes!!!!! Virgins can wear tampons!!!!! It does not do anything to make you a "non-virgin" if you use a tampon. I am a 20 year old who uses tampons and am still a virgin. Having sex makes you not a virgin. So no worries! : )

It's really no different then using one and not being a virgin. It cant hurt you, but it may be slightly more uncomfortable if you've just started using tampons. The more you use them the more comfortable it will be.

You cant lose your virginity to a piece of expanding material :3

Yes, they can use any tampon. Tampons don't make you lose your virginity. They may break your hymen (pop the cherry) although that is relatively rare. The only way to lose your virginity is by engaging in sexual intercourse.

This is a difficult question to answer because many Christians believe different things about virgins wearing tampons.

Some believe that if you are a virgin you shouldn't wear a tampon because they believe it'll break your hymen. Now, in some cases this is true, if you haven't broken your hymen yet. But in reality, most girls have broken their hymen before they ever have had sex or wore a tampon.

For example, if you do things like horseback riding or play rough sports such as hockey or football, odds are you've broken your hymen already. Does this mean you are no longer a virgin? No. You're considered a virgin until you've had sex because even though you're hymen is broken, you've never been touched by a man.

But even after learning all this, it's still your decision to make. Some people will tell you it's fine, and others will say it's a big no no. The choice is up to you.

Yes, a virgin can wear tampons.

A virgin is someone who has not had sex - sex does not change the vagina in any way, so there is no difference between the vagina of a virgin and the vagina of someone who has had sex. Tampons can be used by both virgins and people who have had sex, it makes no difference to tampon use and tampons have no impact on whether you're a virgin or not.

The hymen is often mentioned when talking about virginity, the hymen is tissue surrounding the opening to the vagina which can be torn via vaginal penetration but not always - the hymen doesn't cover the vaginal opening and is flexible so can stretch to allow tampons or even larger things like penises to pass through without tearing. The hymen has nothing to do with virginity.

Yes, of course virgins can use tampons.

Virginity refers to whether or not someone has had sex, it is just a word and not a physical state of being. A virgin is absolutely no different to someone who has had sex, having sex doesn't change your genitals in any way so both virgins and non-virgins would be able to use tampons just the same. Although tampons can tear the hymen this is very unlikely as the hymen doesn't cover the vaginal opening and is flexible so will accommodate the tampon without tearing.

No, you don't have to be a 'non-virgin' to use tampons.

Virgin is a term used to describe someone who has not yet had sex - someone who has had sex is just a person who has had sex, not a non-virgin. Virginity is not a physical state so having had sex makes no difference what-so-ever to the vagina or to the body in general. You can use tampons at any point as long as you understand the risks and how to use tampons correctly to reduce risks.

Yes, of course people who are virgins can use tampons.

Virginity is a social construct, really all virginity is is a name we give to describe people who have not had sex with another person - there is no physical difference between someone who is a virgin and someone who has had sex that would make it a problem to use tampons. Tampons do not change the fact that you're a virgin either, you are a virgin up until you have sex with someone else.

Yes, virgins can use any absorbency tampons that they need to use. A virgin is someone who has had sex with someone else, there is absolutely no physical difference between someone who is a virgin and someone who has had sex. Thus whether you're a virgin or not makes no difference to what size/absorbency tampon you can use, you use whatever absorbency you need for your flow.

No, tampons do not hurt virgins any more than they hurt those who've had sex.

A virgin is someone who has not yet had sex - that's all, there is absolutely no physical difference between someone who is a virgin and someone who has had sex, thus no reason why tampons would hurt virgins specifically. As long as you're relaxed and use tampons correctly they shouldn't hurt.

Does putting in a tampon hurt im really scared?

Inserting a tampon should not hurt - being a virgin makes no difference as to whether it will hurt or not because sex doesn't change your vagina in any way - if scared there's no reason to use tampons. When it comes to inserting tampons you're in control so if you do start to feel pain then you just have to stop and address the cause of the pain. As long as you're relaxed and use tampons correctly it shouldn't hurt.

Do tampons hurt when you insert them?

Tampons shouldn't hurt to insert, but there are a few reasons why they might...Not relaxing enough - if you're tense vaginal muscles will tense.Too high an absorbency - causing increased friction and damage.Rayon tampons - rougher than cotton so cause more irritation.Chemicals - rayon tampons contain chemicals that can irritate. Not inserting high enough - push against vaginal walls.

Do tampon hurt?

It depends. Try a small tampon if its your first time. So try 3 - 5 hours to start, and it all depends on how heavy your flow is. Each box comes with instructions inside just follow them step by step and you should be okay. The key thing to using tampons is to relax. no its just feel weird at first

Does it hurt to put a tampon on?

It can hurt to insert a tampon, but it shouldn't - pain is not normal when using tampons. It can hurt if you're not relaxed enough when inserting tampons because the vaginal walls clench together when you're tense, thus you'd be pushing against vaginal walls when inserting tampons. If you use too high an absorbency or if you use tampons you're allergic to this can cause pain, as too will using tampons without sufficient flow. You can also experience pain if you don't insert at an angle or if you don't insert the tampon high enough in the vagina.

What to do if your period is on at a water park?

You shouldn't always use pads, things like this call for tampons. If you are going somewhere like a water park, use tampons, they might hurt, but its the only way.

Is a tampon hurtful?

A tampon should not hurt you if you're using it correctly. Tampons can hurt if you tense-up during insertion, if you insert at the wrong angle, if you don't insert high enough, if you use too high an absorbency, or if they hit your cervix. Tampons also have health risks such as Toxic Shock Syndrome, and tampons can expand into the cervix which can increase menstrual cramps.
