yes it is possible to resist temptation, its is just normally hard to do. this also depends what the temptation is. but you would need perfect to resist any and all temptation and as we were made with free will were not perfect unfortunately. If the temptation was to commit some sort of sin The Bible will say that it is possible. If its temptation for an object or a possession it is defiantly is possible to resist, tho it may not be easy!

∙ 15y agoTemptation is not "eliminated". The lusts for power, wealth, food and sexual pleasure are with us throughout our lives.
In a non-religious sense it is character that restrains us from indulging our lusts. The character that we ultimately have is formed when we are quite young. The main path to being "of good character" seems to be to learn early that truth is very important and that it is better to be patient and wait for a greater reward rather than grab the first thing that hits your eye.
In a religious sense, temptation is the impulse to sin. Sin is the violation of God's law. Christians believe that sin has made us unacceptable to God and under a penalty of eternal death if we do not believe in Jesus Christ and accept His substitutionary death as the payment for our sins.
