Yes, I have one with Windows 7.
The Dell Latitude series of laptops run on a variety of Intel processors from 400 mhz to 1.2 ghz.
Ubuntu should run on a Dell Dimension 4600, provided enough RAM is installed. I'm not sure what you mean by "run Windows finally;" Windows is a separate operating system from Ubuntu. One does not typically run operating systems "on" one another.
Yes, it should be able to run Windows 8.
Windows ultimate
A fair price range for a Dell Latitude 610 laptop computer would be from $100 to $200. The Latitude 610 is an old laptop and does not have enough power to efficiently run modern programs and can be purchased secondhand cheaply.
Dell has a line of PDA's called the Axim family. First introduced in 2002 and the last model was made in 2007. All models run on software from Windows Microsoft.
go to microcenter.com and buy one
I doesn't matter much if your system is dell or something else. The Os should be windows. just go to this given link run the setup on windows and it will be just installed in your sys tem without any heddahe. http://www.download.com/3001-20_4-10847936.html?spi=3d68af7836b373e533d05319b188a3e9
Yes. But, unless you have a newer machine it may not run well? When Mojang updated Minecraft to use the new launcher (1.6 and above) it also raised the bar, as it were, so it is processor intensive and can be a ram hog if you want to run a server also. The game is written in Java and Mojang has dropped support for the older versions, so if the latest version of Java won't install on your computer then it may not run. If you have an older machine (few years old or a lower end one) you may not be able to run many of the "mods" but the stock game should be fine.
It should run it fairly well, as that exceed both the minimum and recommend requirements.
NO Actually, you can (I have), but it's not worth it. You can install a hacked tiny version of Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron 2500. But unless you have 512mb of memory, you won't be able to run a single thing without having to wait an extreme amount of time. Even with 512MB (which is the maximum, if you believe the manual provided by Dell) it won't be pretty.
In my experience good and bad I have an old dell latitude and although it has had a very gentle life it is crumbling Most recently the only usb port has become wobbly and loose and stopped working Generally old HP/Compaqs always seem to be last better but your mileage may vary BTW I run ubuntu Linux and XP on my dell and Ubuntu is Much faster and more stable but again ymmv
