If the cup has a temperature strip on the outside of it, make sure you pee in the cup and have it register the temperature first. Afterwards, adding small amounts of water will not fail you. However, the more water you add, the more likely the test will come up as diluted. If nobody is watching you, and you are unsure of passing the test, adding water to your urine is not that bad of an idea.
Just make sure you-
1. allow the temperature strip to register
2. do not have clear urine. If your urine is clear, there is no need to add water, and it may even already be too diluted.
3. add only a small amount of water, or else it will come up as diluted.

∙ 12y agoIf the test is conducted correctly - none. When conducted properly, the person taking the test will not have access to water that can be added to the urine - or else the available water has had something added to it to make it obvious if it has been added - strong blue dye for example.

This too me is the dumbest way to clear you system. I used to take a cap of bleach and dump it in a gallon cranberry juice and drink a gallon of water in about 2 hour time period 4 days before my drug test and then the three days before my test worked out an extra 30 Mins (only add a filling of water more for those three days.)
