Nothing will really happen to your account if you sign-up as if you are 13, and they figure out that you are 12, because their are already millions of users on Facebook that are under the age of 13.

• Also have your child's Facebook password so at anytime you can check to make sure nothing is being inappropriately said, no bad pictures or videos and all the friends your child has are safe and known by you or approved by you

Remember when your deciding sometimes its safe and sometimes it is not safe. It all depends on your child's responsibility, maturity, and how cautious they are.
